Club Meetings

The main club meeting is the Annual General Meeting, this is normally held each year in April and this is when the committee advises the membership of the past 12 months and where we are hoping to go in the next tweleve months. We all own a part of the club This means that major proposals by the committee have to be voted on. For example the Treasurer at the last AGM advised the membership that the current membership fees were not sustainable and needed to be increased, the last increase was about seven years ago. The membership agreed hence the new rates. All are welcome at these meetings, however only full members can vote.

Club Committee meetings are normally held monthly on the first Sunday of each month. In these meetings it is a case of updating the progress of projects and dealing with problems when they arise. The minutes from these meeting are recorded by the Secretary and made available to the membership. The committee work very hard, but we cannot do it all any ideas or suggestions from the members are welcome.

Work parties are where members get together and achieve what we can, normally just a morning. At a recent work party we were able to complete a concrete ramp on the 50 metre range for disabled access, pruned back branchs and hedges. Tidy up of various rooms including the meeting room upstairs. Cost to the club was minimal allowing us to use funds for actual shooting projects.

Always check our Whats On page to keep yourself upto date with events. It easy to use put your mouse pointer on what you are interested in, left click and that will open a window giving all the information.

To join us, visit the club on the last Sunday of the month between 11am and 2pm. No appointment necessary - just turn up on the day (bring photo I.D. with you). We ask that disabled persons are given priority for spaces in the car park adjacent to the clubroom. When this is full we have an overflow car park alongside the full-bore range.
